Three ideas in twenty minutes
Sent the age and a budget on WhatsApp and got three suggestions with photos. The circuit kit arrived wrapped in that yellow brick paper with my message written on the card.
Ludo + Snakes & Ladders Board
Two-sided wooden board with turned pieces
Ludo on one side, Snakes & Ladders on the other, screen-printed onto a solid wooden board that will outlast every cardboard version in the cupboard. The sixteen pieces and two dice are turned in Channapatna and live in a sliding drawer under the board.
The magnetic travel edition folds in half and has pieces that stay put in a moving car or train - the right board for summer trips to the grandparents.

The stacking rings have been chewed for six months and the lac has not come off. You can feel the difference from the cheap painted ones.

My son was gliding in a week. Assembly took ten minutes. One star off because delivery took five days, but they called to let me know before the birthday.

Bought the Gujarati edition of Vyapari for Diwali and my father-in-law has not let anyone else be banker since. Paid cash on delivery, packed beautifully.
