Three ideas in twenty minutes
Sent the age and a budget on WhatsApp and got three suggestions with photos. The circuit kit arrived wrapped in that yellow brick paper with my message written on the card.

Suraj Solar Robot 6-in-1
Build six sun-powered robots from one kit
Sale price ₹1,499Regular price ₹1,799−17%Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 203 reviews
One solar panel, one motor, a box of gears and snap-fit parts, and six robots to build from them: a walking dog, a paddle boat, a rover, a crawling beetle, a windmill and a tumbling robot. No batteries - it runs on sunlight on the balcony, or under a strong lamp indoors.
The illustrated manual explains what each gear is doing in plain language, so the build is also a first lesson in gearing and energy. Expect an afternoon for the first robot and less for each one after.

The stacking rings have been chewed for six months and the lac has not come off. You can feel the difference from the cheap painted ones.

My son was gliding in a week. Assembly took ten minutes. One star off because delivery took five days, but they called to let me know before the birthday.

Bought the Gujarati edition of Vyapari for Diwali and my father-in-law has not let anyone else be banker since. Paid cash on delivery, packed beautifully.
