Three ideas in twenty minutes
Sent the age and a budget on WhatsApp and got three suggestions with photos. The circuit kit arrived wrapped in that yellow brick paper with my message written on the card.
Snap Circuit Explorer Kit
Press-stud circuits - lights, buzzers, a fan
Real circuits without soldering: components are mounted on colour-coded blocks that press-stud onto a grid, so a seven-year-old can build a doorbell, a flying fan or a light that switches on in the dark. Each project card shows the circuit as a picture and as a diagram, so children learn to read both.
The 30-project kit is the right start; the 100-project kit adds a speaker, a motion sensor and a radio. Runs on two AA batteries, which we include, with a fuse block so nothing can overheat.

The stacking rings have been chewed for six months and the lac has not come off. You can feel the difference from the cheap painted ones.

My son was gliding in a week. Assembly took ten minutes. One star off because delivery took five days, but they called to let me know before the birthday.

Bought the Gujarati edition of Vyapari for Diwali and my father-in-law has not let anyone else be banker since. Paid cash on delivery, packed beautifully.
