Took the trial expecting to return them
My flat is concrete, glass and not much else. The Monitor 5s were warm without getting boomy even fifteen centimetres from the wall. I never called the courier - I bought the stands instead.
A quiet, accurate phono stage for the T-1 or any turntable without one. Switchable moving-magnet and moving-coil gain, adjustable loading for MC cartridges, and RIAA equalisation held to ±0.2 dB - the sort of figure that usually costs three times as much.
An outboard linear power supply keeps hum away from the signal, and the steel case sits happily under a turntable plinth. The current batch is sold out; the next run is on the bench now.
