Took the trial expecting to return them
My flat is concrete, glass and not much else. The Monitor 5s were warm without getting boomy even fifteen centimetres from the wall. I never called the courier - I bought the stands instead.

A-50 Valve Integrated Amplifier
EL34 push-pull, 2 × 35 W, point-to-point wired
Sale price €2,250Regular price €2,490−10%Rated 4.9 out of 5 from 96 reviews
Four EL34 output valves in push-pull, two ECC83 drivers and a valve-rectified power supply, wired point to point on a steel chassis. 35 watts per channel is more than any of our speakers need, and the amber of the heaters through the smoked cage is the reason half our customers bought one.
Four line inputs, a home-theatre bypass and an analogue VU meter. Auto-bias means valve swaps are a plug-in job, and we sell matched quads at cost. This price is for ex-demo units from our listening room - burned in, re-measured and carrying the full three-year warranty.

Rated 5.0 out of 5 Rated 5.0 out of 5 The amp I look at with the lights off
The A-50 drives my old Rega speakers with an ease the solid-state amp never managed. Vocals sit in the room. And yes, the glow through the cage is half the reason I bought it.
Rated 5.0 out of 5 Repair service is the real product
One HP-1 cup developed a buzz after two years. It was on their bench in three days, the driver was replaced and they sent me the measurement of the new one against the old. Back in five days in total.
Rated 4.0 out of 5 Lovely turntable, set up perfectly
The T-1 arrived with the MM cartridge aligned and tracking at exactly the stated force. Speed is rock solid. Four stars only because the dust cover is sold separately - at this price I would expect it in the box.
