Planted in an afternoon, no algae since
Wei Ling brought the stones I had chosen from photos, built the iwagumi in my living room and talked me through the first month of water changes. Twelve weeks in and the carpet is closed with no algae at all.
An external canister that you will hear only if you put your ear on the cabinet. Four stacked baskets hold ceramic rings, sintered glass, coarse and fine pads; a self-priming head means no siphon-starting with your mouth.
Supplied with clear glass lily pipes, so the only thing inside the tank is a thin line of glass. We rate it by measured flow with full media, which is what reaches your plants, not the empty-pump figure on most boxes.

Rated 5.0 out of 5 Rated 5.0 out of 5 The PAR figures are honest
Shipped to Japan in four days. I measured the light at the substrate with my own sensor and it was within 5 µmol of their spec sheet, which no other brand I have bought has managed.
Rated 5.0 out of 5 Every shrimp arrived alive
Ordered twenty at 9am, they arrived at 11 in an insulated box with two bags. All alive, eating within an hour of drip acclimation. The care note in the box was written by the person who bred them.
Rated 4.0 out of 5 Beautiful tank, long wait for freight
The 60P is flawless - you genuinely cannot see a green edge. One star off because sea freight to London took five weeks, but they told me that up front and the crate was immaculate.
