Planted in an afternoon, no algae since
Wei Ling brought the stones I had chosen from photos, built the iwagumi in my living room and talked me through the first month of water changes. Twelve weeks in and the carpet is closed with no algae at all.
Baked granules of volcanic soil, rich in nutrients and humic acid, that lower pH and soften water for plants and shrimp. Normal grain for the bulk of the bed; powder for the top layer under a carpet so fine roots grip on day one.
Our kits use about 6 cm at the front rising to 10 cm at the back. A 9 L bag covers a 45P; a 60P takes two. Price shown is for a 9 L bag of normal grain.
