Two kadais, two generations, one kalai slip
Sent my mother’s 1979 kadai and the one I bought here in 2022 for re-tinning together. Both came back in eleven days, silver inside, with the weight before and after written on the slip.
A gently tapered tumbler with two turned bands that give your fingers something to hold when it is cold with chaas. Heavy enough not to tip on a thali rim.
Unlike copper, kansa is safe for buttermilk, lassi and nimbu pani as well as water.
