Khus roots from Bharatpur are dug, washed and distilled for days into a dark, green-smoky oil - the same root woven into the screens of old summer houses and sprinkled with water to cool the air.
We distil khus for the hot months only. This season’s batch has sold through; the next is resting in leather and returns in March.
