Twelve years and still going
My first Sackville was a wedding suit. It has been let out once and the cuffs redone, both free, and it still looks better than anything I have bought since. The new one is in the chalk stripe.
Made-to-measure fittings now booking for November at Heddon Yard
Brushed Shetland wool, saddle shoulder
A saddle-shoulder crew neck knitted in the Scottish Borders from pure Shetland wool, then brushed with teasels for the soft, slightly shaggy face Shetland is known for.
Cut close in the body and sleeve so it sits under a tweed jacket without bunching, with a deep rib at the cuff and hem.

The worsted is superb and the finishing is immaculate. I took my usual chest and it was a touch close in the Slim fit - I swapped for the Tailored, which was painless.
Sent four pairs of flannels down for hemming. They came back pressed, each with a little handwritten ticket in the pocket noting what was done. Old-fashioned service, properly done.
