Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) cut at flowering from the beds nearest the creek, shade-dried on screens so the leaf stays green rather than browning, and blended with linden flower (Tilia cordata) gathered from four old trees along the farm lane and lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) from the kitchen garden. Coarse cut, no dust, no flavour oil.
Tulsi is traditionally used in Ayurvedic practice as a calming daily tea, and linden has done the same job in European households for as long as anyone has written it down. A heaped teaspoon per cup, steeped covered for seven minutes so the volatile oils go into the tea rather than the room. Caffeine-free. Sold in a refillable tin or a compostable refill pouch.
