The proof saved me from myself
I put our initials the wrong way round at 1 a.m. The proof arrived the next morning with a polite note asking if that was intended. The board is gorgeous - the engraving is crisp and the walnut is deep and glossy.

Heavy, glazed, their name around the rim
A heavy, low stoneware bowl that a determined dog can’t push across the kitchen, thrown by the same Prince Edward County potter as our mugs. Their name is lettered around the outside under the glaze, in one of our three font styles.
Food-safe, lead-free and dishwasher safe. The small size suits cats and small dogs; the large holds a good litre of water for everyone else.

Six blurry phone photos and a description of a dog who never sits still. The first sketch already looked like him, and they fixed the one floppy ear after my note. The original drawing came too, which was a lovely surprise.

Used the brass keyrings as wedding favours. They sent a single proof sheet with every guest’s initial so we could check them all at once. Each came in its own tagged envelope. Guests are still using them.

The leather and stitching are excellent and the copper monogram looks sharp. It was very stiff for the first two weeks - now it has softened nicely. Four stars only because I’d have liked one more card slot.
