Twelve days from the dahlias
I followed the care card to the letter - re-cut every two days, fresh water - and the Café au Lait dahlias lasted twelve days. The box is entirely paper and cardboard, which matters to me.

A summer meadow, kept. Bunny-tail grass, wheat, strawflower, sea lavender, poppy seed heads and feathery pampas, grown in Lincolnshire and Norfolk and hung to dry in the rafters of our arch - no bleach, no dye, just the colours they dried to.
Choose a palette: Natural is oat, wheat and cream; Blush adds dusky-pink strawflower and statice; Rust brings in copper beech and amaranthus. Kept out of direct sun, it will hold its colour for a year or more.

Sent a Classic Hackney to my mum on her birthday at short notice. The rider texted a photo on delivery and the handwritten card was lovely. It looked like an armful from a garden, not a supermarket.

Outside London so it came next day by courier - still perfectly fresh in its water pouch. One star off only because the Deluxe was a little smaller than I imagined; the stem counts on the size guide are accurate though.

Hattie walked us round the dahlia field in August and built everything from what was in flower that week. No foam, nothing flown in, and they pressed our leftover stems into a frame for us.
