Square-scale alligator from a single hide, cut, edge-painted and saddle-stitched by hand at our strapmaker in Lyon. The lining is calfskin treated against perspiration, and the strap tapers by 2 mm from lug to buckle so it sits flat on the wrist.
Every strap has quick-release spring bars and fits any Valmont of the matching lug width without tools. Choose a pin buckle for a slimmer profile or the folding clasp to keep the leather from creasing.
Complimentary tracked delivery from Geneva within two business days. Straps are fitted free of charge at the atelier or by any Valmont agent, and exchanged within 30 days if the length is not right.

I logged the Lac 38 against an atomic reference for thirty days: plus eleven seconds in total, well inside the published −2/+4. Winding it each morning has become a ritual, and the 70 hours means a weekend off the wrist is no problem.

Over a hundred dives on the Abysse 300 and the bezel still clicks cleanly through all 120 positions. The rubber strap channels really do stop it sticking. Lume fades faster than I would like after an hour in the dark, hence the only nitpick.
Jumping the local hour on landing without stopping the watch is exactly what I wanted. The bracelet micro-adjust is brilliant on long-haul flights. I would have liked a slightly thinner case, but it sits well under a cuff.
