A cake studio that delivers, not a bakery that ships

Mithas Cake Studio started in 2014 in a Navrangpura flat, where Snehal Joshi baked eggless birthday cakes for the families on her floor. She had grown up in a house where nobody ate egg, and had grown tired of cakes that were dense, dry or simply missing on the menu. Within a year the orders were coming from across the river, and her brother Ankit started delivering them on his scooter after college.

The studio today is a single FSSAI-licensed kitchen in Prahladnagar with two production lines - a fully eggless, gelatin-free line that bakes about two thirds of everything we send out, and a separate egg oven for customers who choose it. Fresh cream is whipped from dairy cream, never non-dairy topping. Every cake is baked on the day it is delivered and carries its bake time on the box.

We think of ourselves as a delivery company as much as a bakery. Fourteen riders in chilled vans and insulated bags cover Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar across four windows a day, including a midnight slot that runs every night of the year. If we miss your slot, the delivery charge comes back to you automatically - and if the cake reaches you less than perfect, send us a photo and we will bake it again.
