A tunnel, a cradle, a hat
Two years in and the stacker is still the toy that comes out every day. The paint has worn softly at the edges rather than chipping, which is exactly what they said it would do.
Birch ply, folds flat to 9cm
A climbing triangle in the tradition of Emmi Pikler, the Hungarian paediatrician who argued that children should find their own way up, unhurried and unassisted. Babies pull up on the lowest rung; toddlers climb over the top; older children turn it into a tent, a shop or a ship.
The frame is laminated birch ply with solid beech rungs set 7cm deep. It folds flat to 9cm in seconds, which is how it lives in a Dutch apartment, and it carries 90kg - so a parent can test it first.
Delivered flat-packed by courier, free across the Benelux and €19 to the rest of the EU. Assembly takes about twenty minutes with the hex key in the box. Returns accepted for 30 days in the original packaging.

We live in a flat with no spare room. The triangle folds behind the sofa in seconds and comes out every morning. Solid enough that I tested it myself first.
The play kitchen is gorgeous and the linen curtain is a lovely touch. Delivery to Germany took eight working days, which was longer than I expected, but it was packed beautifully.
Our son posted a ring of the stacker through a gap in the floorboards. I wrote to the workshop and a replacement arrived three days later in a little paper envelope.
