Six winters and counting
I have worn the same overcoat for six winters. It has been re-lined once, free of charge, and it looks better now than the day it arrived. Nothing else in my wardrobe has earned its place so completely.
Knitted on nineteenth-century frames in Umbria from a 16-gauge merino, then washed in spring water and dried flat.
A soft ribbed collar, three horn buttons and a body cut long enough to stay tucked.
