Ajrakh from Ajrakhpur near Bhuj, printed with hand-carved teak blocks and dyed with indigo and madder root over sixteen separate rounds of printing, washing and sun-drying. The deep blue and rust are natural dyes, so the colour deepens for the first few washes rather than fading.
Printed on a modal-cotton that falls softly enough to drape over a plain kurti and turn it into something you would wear to a function. Each piece varies slightly - the register marks of a hand-carved block are part of the cloth, not a flaw.
