NXS Gear designs competitive keyboards, mice, audio and seating in Los Angeles, and tests every product with our professional team, Night Sector.
NXS began in 2019 in a Culver City garage, where two tactical shooter players were sanding down 3D-printed mouse shells because nothing they could buy was both light and stiff. They sold the first hundred Strafes at a LAN in Long Beach, and spent the money on a sensor test rig instead of rent.
In 2021 we founded Night Sector, a five-player roster that now competes internationally. They are not ambassadors; they are our test bench. Every NXS product goes through months of scrims before it ships, and the players sign off on shapes, switch weights and firmware defaults. When a pro says a click feels late, we put it on the high-speed camera until we find out why.
The lab is now a converted soundstage with a motorised sensor rig, a switch force-curve tester, a head-and-torso simulator for audio and a full stage desk. Products are made with partner factories we visit every quarter, and every one carries a two-year warranty handled by support staff who play at a high level themselves.
