Actual Mamra, finally
I have bought so-called Mamra from four different shops on CG Road. This is the only one where the kernel breaks the way it should and the skin is properly dark. Worth every rupee over the California lot.
Our flagship gift: a sealed steel tin carrying the best grade we can buy in the season - Iranian Mamra Giri, Akbari pistachios from Rafsanjan, Kashmiri light-half walnuts, W240 cashews, large round Kandahar Anjeer and jumbo Medjool, each in its own vacuum compartment.
The lid card names the region, grade and batch code of all six. Nothing in this tin is a second-grade lot dressed up for the festival, which is why the composition changes when a harvest does not meet the mark.

The Kandahar Anjeer is soft right through, nothing like the dry ones from the local store. Only complaint is the Kashmiri walnut was unavailable - they told me straight that the next lot comes in October instead of substituting something else, which I respect.

Ordered the 1 kg W240 with Cash on Delivery and it reached Andheri in three days. The seal was still tight and the kernels were whole, not the broken pieces you usually get at this grade. Ordering the mixed pack next.
