Eight years of daily use
I bought four mugs in 2018. They go through the dishwasher most days and the glaze has not crazed once. I have replaced nothing else in that cupboard.
Cut from a single board of Jutland oak so the grain runs unbroken from one handle to the other. The rim is raised by 12mm - enough to stop a glass sliding, low enough to wipe down in one pass.
Finished with three coats of linseed oil rather than lacquer. It will darken over the first year and can be re-oiled at home whenever it starts to look dry.
