An Ahmedabad kidswear studio making everyday cotton and festive ethnic wear for 0 to 12 years, with comfort checked before anything else.
Chhotu & Co. started in 2014 with one cotton chaniya choli, stitched in a Khadia pol house for an eleven-month-old who could not bear sequins against his skin. Mitali Desai sold the first fifty pieces to neighbours and school-gate parents, and the studio moved to Ambawadi three years later.
Everything we make starts from GOTS-certified organic cotton, woven in Gujarat and washed soft before it is cut. Dyes are AZO-free, buttons and snaps are nickel-free, size labels are printed rather than sewn in, and seams are flat-locked so nothing rubs. Festive pieces follow the same rules: mirror work and zari are stitched onto a cotton backing that sits between the embellishment and the skin.
We size by age but cut by height, and our size guide says so plainly. Children grow unevenly, so every order includes a free size exchange within fifteen days, Cash on Delivery across India and a GST invoice for the grown-ups who need one.
